Order Ahead

What is Order Ahead?#

This function defines the rules and timing of orders scheduled for later. As soon as you enable it, your customers will be able to place orders ahead of time. Once you set the rules in your GoParrot Dashboard, the changes you made are going to be reflected on your webstore checkout page and your customers will have the possibility to make the selection.

To find Order Ahead function go to the Pickup Settings tab from your left side menu on the store level. Toggle Enable switch to open the settings.

Order Ahead Rules#

Minimum Delay - defines the earliest time a customer can choose to place an order (first time slot to display to guests).

Note: You can choose the minimum time to be either a few minutes or hours.

Opening Hours Delay – enable or disable the option that define if your restaurant is ready to receive orders right at opening of the store, in the morning, or if it requires a certain amount of time to fulfill the first order.

Maximum Delay - defines the latest time in the future the customers can choose for ordering ahead (last time slot to display to guests).

Delay Step Size defines the time periods available for customers to choose from the drop-down list as they select when they’d like their order to be ready.

Slot Interval Duration - determines how frequently the order ahead placements are available. This feature is useful in cases when your customer doesn’t know when he exactly needs the order. When this option is set, the desired time is displayed as an interval, for example 5 - 5.30 PM.

Slot Interval Separator – defines and separates the periods between these slots, for example 5.30/5.40.

Disable ASAP Orders – you can enable or disable this function that allow your customers to pick the orders they made in advance, as soon as they are ready.

After selecting all required settings, make sure to press the Save button in the top right corner of your screen.

On this page you can also enable or disable the function Push orders to the next day.

Cut-off time – refers to the latest time your restaurant can process the orders in a certain day. You can set it manually from the given drop-down list.

Handling time – the orders you cannot fulfill before Cut-off time will be pushed to the next available day.
